- Richard Harris Review added: 2018.01.12★ ★ ★ ★ ☆Not everything in life needs to be a white knuckle ride, in order to be fun. The railway is a gentle run alongside the lake, with a few stops between each main station.
The carriages are basic, but comfy enough. Some are with windows, while others are open to the elements. In summer, that's all well and good, although in cooler times, a hat and coat are recommended.
The Bala station is very basic, just a platform really. At the other end, there is a tea room in the station, bit it can get very busy. If you fancy a 15 minute walk through the village, The Eagles pub does excellent food.
